Mavic EX 1028 Disc 29″ Rim

The Mavic EX 1028 is a 29″ aluminium rim for enduro and downhill use, which has a jaw width of 28 mm. It is characterised by great robustness and was designed to take even the hardest blows. DH racers and big mountain freeriders put the EX 1028 through its paces.

Made exclusively for Mavic, this lightweight and strong aluminium alloy offers a higher strength-to-weight ratio than standard 6106 aluminium. Maxtal rims are 30% stiffer and weigh less than other aluminium rims.

SUP
SUP means Soudé Usiné Process and creates a much more stable and smoother rim joint. The rim joint is welded and then milled over to achieve an even braking surface. SUP prevents any brake judder and facilitates spoking and centring of the wheel.
