Reliably absorbing torque: the Long Torque Arm by Rohloff
All Rohloff Speedhub 500/14 versions that do not have the additional designation OEM or OEM2 are equipped with the long standard torque support for torque support on the frame. This must first be bolted to the axle plate (CC or TS).
In order to connect the torque arm to the chainstay, the fork clevis joint for the quick realease block must also be installed for CC models. For TS versions, a frame clamp must be fitted instead of the fork clevis joint.
This two-point attachment secures the axle against rotation. When removing the wheel, the long torque arm must be detached from the frame.
Frames with angled and vertical dropouts are compatible with a long torque arm. With horizontal dropouts, installation of the Rohloff Speedhub 500/14 is only possible in the TS screw axle versions. The axle fastening by means of quick release (CC versions) does not ensure the horizontal fixation of the axle.
