Rim design reinvented: the 3ZERO MOTO 27.5″ front wheel rim by Zipp
The Zipp 3ZERO MOTO rim, the main component of the 3ZERO MOTO wheel, can also be purchased separately. It is based on the equation: control + stability = speed, and was inspired by motorsport. The special feature of the 3ZERO MOTO is the so-called Moto Technology™, a single-sidewall design that allows the rim to swing in the spoke bed, when cycling on rough terrain. Its edges give way as soon as it hits an obstacle; this acts like an additional suspension. In the present version, the 3ZERO MOTO rim (27.5″ ) is intended exclusively for mounting on the front wheel.

Because Zipp had not released MTB wheels before the 3ZERO MOTO, they could ” reinvent the wheel” , so to speak, and go their own way. Instead of the traditional box-shaped rim cross-section, Zipp uses a single-wall design inspired from motorsport, which proved to be ideal for enduro and trails. The cross-section of the 3ZERO MOTO rim marks the fundamental difference to previous wheels and allows the fastest trail riders to fly over the roughest terrain with unprecedented speed and control. This design combines lateral stiffness, torque efficiency, radial compliance, shock absorption, durability and ride quality, which all add up to one thing: more speed.
Colour Index:The first colour refers to the Zipp logo (silver or slate), the second refers to the graphics (blue, rs red, green, orange, yellow, silver, stealth = black). Base colour of the rim is black (carbon).
